Sudhamek AWS is the most important figure in the history of Global Sevilla School. He was the originator and founder of this international-standard school in Jakarta. Global Sevilla School was founded in October 2002 by Sudhamek AWS, a businessman and the owner of the food and beverage company GarudaFood.
The first school was built in the Pulo Mas area of East Jakarta and named Global Sevilla Pulo Mas. Two years later, a second school was built in the Puri Indah area of West Jakarta and named Global Sevilla Puri Indah Campus.
Building two schools in two different places was meant to fulfill the founder's commitment to providing an enjoyable learning environment while building good character in the next generation. That is why Global Sevilla School is known as a character education school in Indonesia.
Partnership with Global School Foundation
The history of Global Sevilla School also records that the school was previously called Sevilla International School. After it partnered with Global School Foundation, the largest educational foundation in the world, the school changed its name to Global Sevilla School.
Global Sevilla School has many strengths, and one of them is the balance between education and character. The school does not prioritize academic education alone, but character education as well. As a result, the two go hand in hand and complement each other.
Character education is a plus in its own right, because it appeals strongly to people in today's era of globalization.
