Choose Menus

To reach this option, go to your dashboard, choose Appearance, then choose Menus. Besides Menus, you will see other options in the dashboard, such as Themes, Customize, Widgets, Theme Options, Header, Background, Custom Design and more.

Create a New Menu

Once you have found Menus in the dashboard, you can add a menu to your website or blog. To add a menu in WordPress, create a new menu. Enter a name for the new menu, then click Save Menu.

You can add a custom link to your WordPress site. A custom link sends visitors to a specific URL. For example, if you want to add your social media address to your site, click Custom Links in the left-hand column. Then enter a label, or link text, which will appear as the anchor text of the link you create. Paste the URL into the URL field and click Add to Menu.

Categories

To create a category item, choose the Categories label. Categories keep your WordPress site looking tidy, and a blog should have at least one. The steps are the same as for a menu: enter the category name, then click Add to Menu. After that, save the menu so your changes are kept.
